Red wine casks from all over the world are used to finish Hanyu and Chichibu whiskies which are matured at the Chichibu Distillery. The environment of drastic temperature changes where the warehouses are located helps the maturation and gives deep complexity of flavour. Pleasant tannins, acidity and dry fruitiness come from the wine casks, which can linger for a long time on the palate.
