Oban 18 Year Old 20cl Scotch

Oban 18 year old whisky was only ever bottled for the US market, and becoming ever increasingly hard to find as it was discontinued in 2018.

Nose:  Sweet notes of honey and toffee mingle with the subtle embrace of maritime sea breeze. Hints of brine and a delicate waft of smoke intertwine with dried fruit aromas, such as raisins and apricots. A touch of oak brings a sense of maturity and balance to the bouquet.

Palate: The honeyed sweetness continues, accompanied by layers of rich caramel and dark chocolate, providing a luxurious mouthfeel. Orchard fruits come forth, with ripe apples and pears alongside a gentle spiciness that hints at cloves and black pepper. The maritime character persists, with a subtle salinity that reminds you of the sea.

Finish: The finish is long and rewarding with a touch of dried herbs.
