As the name suggests the Laphroaig Triple Wood goes through 3 different maturation processes. Firstly it is matured in American oak barrels, then transferred into quarter casks before finally being finished in ex sherry casks. This gives it a sweet and sticky edge while toning down Laphroaig’s distictive peatiness
