Lagavulin 18 Year Old 2016 Feis Ile
The brand new 18 year old Lagavulin, released to celebrate the 2016 Islay whisky festival. It is a marriage of refill American oak hogsheads and European oak ex bodega sherry butts. It has been bottled at natural cask strength and each bottle comes individually numbered.
Nose: Medicinal: Tar, mint, citrus fruits and a maritime freshness.
Palate: It has a good viscosity with notes of menthol, lemons, oysters, havana cigars, motor oil, sea kelp and pepper.
Finish: Oily and long with more citrus.
