In contrast to the traditional , non peated character of the Glendronach, this particular whisky has, unusually, been distilled using peated malted barley. The subtle peated notes in this intriguing expression complement the classic Glendronach Highland character and the rich sherry notes from the wood.
Nose: Gooseberries, cinnamon and citrus fruits. Delicate peat smoke, fresh ground barley and hints of toffee.
Palate: Spicy oak, honey, pepper and bonfire smoke.
Finish: Crisp fruit and burning heather.
