The reward of patience and perseverance, we are delighted to present the fourth iteration of The Glenallachie 21 Year Old. After extensive sampling and evaluation across their 50,000 casks maturing on-site, Billy hand-picked just three vintage Pedro Ximénez puncheons to create this ultra-limited release. The heather honey-forward distillate stands up well to ageing in rich Sherry oak, creating a rich, luxurious malt. The wood has imparted layers of sweetness, offering a palate with decadent chocolate truffles and dark cherries steeped in maraschino syrup. Exceptionally smooth, this elegant expression is one to be savoured.
Presented at natural cask strength of 51.1%, without added colouring or chill-filtration for the purest drinking experience.
