Bunnahabhain 50 Year Old Scotch is a beautifully presented single sherry cask matured whisky , bottled by Gleann Mor Spirits. Bottled at cask strength, unchill-filtered and natural colour, we think this this represents great value for money for a whisky of this age and quality.

Nose: An exquisite, layered aroma unfolds with rich, dark fruit—dried figs, dates, and black cherries—mingling with polished oak, leather, and tobacco leaf. Notes of roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate, and a hint of salted caramel emerge, balanced by a whisper of maritime brine that speaks to its coastal origins. Subtle spices—clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg—add warmth, while a delicate floral undertone lingers.

Palate: Silky and mouth-coating, the palate is a masterclass in balance and depth. Ripe plums, raisins, and stewed prunes meet treacle toffee and honey-glazed walnuts. The influence of the oak is profound but not overpowering, offering layers of vanilla pod, antique wood, and a touch of espresso bitterness. Hints of orange peel, anise, and ginger provide brightness, while the sea air laces each sip with a subtle salinity.

Finish: Exceptionally long, warming, and satisfying. Dark chocolate, dried fruits, and gentle smokiness fade slowly, leaving echoes of aged oak, maritime salt, and a delicate nuttiness.
