Balvenie 27 Year Old – King of Casks Brandy Finish
Balvenie 27 Year Old — technically a blended malt, but in practice, this is a single cask Balvenie at heart. To prevent Murray McDavid from labelling it as a single malt, the distillery added a “teaspoon” of another malt whisky, making it a teaspooned malt by definition.
Finished in a rich brandy cask, this rare Speyside release offers vibrant stone fruit notes — think peaches, plums, and cherries, layered with soft spice and depth from long maturation.
Only 627 bottles were ever produced, making this an exceptional find for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
