Westie Sponge Ledaig 29 Year Old Scotch
A very special whisky, and one close to our hearts. Distilled at nearby Tobermory distillery, this lightly peated expression of Ledaig is from one single sherry butt that has been bottled a natural cask strength. A very complex whisky that really opens up the longer you leave it in the glass(not always easy, I know!). Classic dried fruits and caramel instantly reveal themself, then we get hints of grapefruit, molasses, chocolate and coastal notes, a very specific and difficult profile of malt whisky to find these days.
