Talisker 8 Year Old Special Release 2024
For this 8-year-old expression, the whisky has been matured in stone-spun casks(yes this is a first for us also…). Like a tidal churn, the barrels’ original char layers are polished away by rocks and water, then lightly re-toasted, allowing fruity and vanilla characters to rise up freely. Selected from whiskies of rumbling smoke, underlying flavours pierce through. Waves of pear and apple emerge alongside blades of seaweed, pepper and spice.
