Oban Distillers Edition Whisky
Oban Distillers Edition Whisky is a limited edition from Oban Distillery which has been initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in seasoned Fino sherry oak casks.
Nose: Opens very fine, clean and sweet with notes of salty sea breeze, dried fruits and a light, grapey note from the dry Fino, then grows more pungent with time, to hint of sweet and spice.
Palate: Creamy in texture and gently sweet with hints of figs, dark chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon, all held together by a real backbone of sea salt and gentle white-pepper spiciness.
Finish: Long and briny with hints of wood spice.
