Oban 21 Year Old Special Release

As part of their 2018 Special Releases, Diageo have decided to bottle a 21 year old whisky from Oban. This is a real treat as there are very few expressions of Oban on the market. Unfortunately, it is a one-off release limited to just 2000 bottles. Unusually for Oban, it has been fully matured in ex-sherry casks and non chill-filtered.

Nose: Coastal freshness, pineapple, black pepper and figs.

Palate: Waxy with dried fruits, salt, chocolate orange and sherried sweetness.

Finish: Long and spicy with touch of smoke.
