Laphroaig 12 Year Old Single Cask Whisky

Laphroaig 12 Year Old Single Cask Whisky Bottled exclusively for Oban Whisky & Fine Wines in collaboration with our long term friends Berry Bros & Rudd. This expression is bottled under the name Williamson, a nod to Bessie Williamson, the owner and manager of Laphroaig Distillery in the mid 20th Century.

A classic, yet gentlemanly distillate-driven Williamson, showing its oily smoke, coastal brine and a gentle citrus zest. Medicinal notes of iodine and ointment are present and well balanced, sitting alongside smoked barley, wet stone and a gentle earthy depth. A mineral thread brings lift and definition through the palate, while the finish lingers on ash, brine and drying herbal peat. Best enjoyed on a rocky shore, under a grey sky, with a stiff westerly stinging your cheeks.

Only 333 bottles were produced from a single ex-bourbon oak hogshead and bottled at a natural strength of 59% abv with no chill filtration or added colour. Available exclusively online here!
