Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2025, matured in refill casks and Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso seasoned European Sherry oak butts. Delve into fire-baked embers, toasted cereal notes and the aroma of artisan bread, where layers of rich dried fruit, raisins, figs and dates, rise through smouldering smoke.

Nose: A bold, phenolic nose with smouldering peat and wood ash. Maritime notes evoke rock pools, lobster pots, fresh scallops and oyster shells.

Palate: Smooth and lightly oily in texture. The robust, sweet taste exudes dried fruit character, savoury-spicy and salty, with raisins, figs, dates, white chocolate  developing powerfully smoky hints of peat. Smoother and sweeter with a drop of water, it remains full of life.

Long, drying and lightly smoky, with lingering salt, chilli pepper spice and a peaty aftertaste.
