Kilchoman STR Cask Matured Whisky
This limited edition Kilchoman release hase been matured in STR casks. STR refers to red wine casks which have then been shaved to expose a combination of lightly soaked and virgin oak. The inner layer is then toasted with oak chips to caramelise the oaks sugars and vanillins. It is finally re-charred to maximise flavour extraction.
