Finn Thomson Linkwood 11 Year Old Scotch

Finn Thomson Linkwood 11 Year Old Scotch finished in a Jamaican Rum cask. Bottled at cask strength with an out-turn of 320 bottles. 

Nose : Vivid and inviting, a tropical fruit basket at first nosing. Notes of ripe banana, pineapple syrup, and sugarcane molasses mingle with Linkwood’s hallmark floral malt and green apple freshness. Layers of vanilla bean, honeycomb, and light oak spice add complexity. With time, soft hints of lime zest, ginger, and demerara sugar drift through. A dash of water reveals buttered toffee and a touch of fresh mint.

Palate: Lively and textured , the sweetness of the rum cask shines through but never overwhelms. Initial flavours of tropical fruit salad, golden syrup, and creamy malt lead into toasted coconut, vanilla fudge, and a subtle cane juice brightness.

Finish : Long, warming, and slightly drying. Notes of molasses, candied citrus peel, and soft oak linger alongside honeyed maltand a faint echo of tropical fruit. A whisper of cocoa and sugarcane fades gracefully at the very end.
