Finn Thomson Glen Garioch 12 Year Old Single Cask Scotch

Glen Garioch 12 Year old has a meaty and malty style that makes it a robust style of whisky, perfectly suited for different types of cask maturation. In this case, Finn has finished this in a Tokaji cask(Hungarian sweet white wine). Initially the meaty and robust style of Glen Garioch is evident but after a few minutes in the glass there is an abundance of juicy tropical fruit notes from the Tokaji influence. The finish is long and oily – the Tokaji sweetness balancing perfectly with the earthy distillery notes. This had an out-turn of two hundred and thirty four bottles at cask strength.
