Finn Thomson Fettercairn 18 Year Old Scotch

Finn Thomson Fettercairn 18 Year Old Scotch single cask whisky has been finished in a Hungarian dessert wine(Tokaji) cask with an out-turn of 253 bottles at natural cask strength. 

Nose : Beautifully complex and aromatic. Opens with apricot jam, golden raisin, and honeycomb, layered over Fettercairn’s signature malty depth. Notes of orange blossom, sultana, and toasted almond emerge, followed by hints of dried mango, baking spice, and a touch of ginger syrup. The Tokaji cask brings a luscious sweetness, think dessert wine, candied fruit, and oak polished warmth.

Palate : Full-bodied and silky at cask strength. A burst of dried apricot, honeyed malt, and caramelised pear gives way to spiced orange, hazelnut, and oak resin. The Tokaji influence brings rich dessert wine sweetness balanced by gentle grapefruit peel, baked apple, crème brûlée crust.

Finish : Long, graceful, and layered. Honeyed apricots, toffee, and light oak spice linger, evolving into sultanas, ginger warmth, and a final whisper of tropical fruit syrup.
