A punchy 7 year old Croftengea single malt, which the nerds among us know to be a peated style from Loch Lomond distillery. Bottled at 57% ABV from a single cask by the good folks over at The House of MacDuff under their Golden Cask range.
Heathery peat is most prominent on the nose, which continues as you’d expect into the palate. Stone fruits, nectarine, and satsuma peel become apparent, with a dusting of white pepper and a sprinkle of dried fruits.
Juicy & peaty.. well worth a try as an Islay-ternative!
