Bruichladdich Octomore 10.4
Distilled in 2016, this Octomore 10.4 at 3 years old is the youngest ever released but perhaps the most impressive. Twenty eight casks cut from French Limousin oak have been subject to high toast before filling. These virgin oak casks often have a high tannin impact which can be bitter and overpowering, but the high toast has lessened the tannic impact, giving way to a dry fruit character that is impeccably well rounded.
Malted to 88ppm and limited to just 12,000 bottles worldwide this is by far the smallest batch of the years Octomore range
