Ardnamurchan AD/10 Year Old Scotch
Ardnamurchan AD/10 the first ever 10 Year old Ardnamurchan, bottled to commemorate their 10th Anniversary. The entire batch is made up of unpeated spirit distilled during their first few months of production in 2014. Roughly half the casks used were transferred to Champagne Paul Launois barriques for just over a year prior to bottling.
Nose:
- Fresh coastal breeze with a touch of sea spray
- Ripe orchard fruits – apple, pear, and apricot
- Gentle peat smoke, subtly earthy and herbal
Palate:
- Creamy and well-rounded, with a silky mouthfeel
- Rich caramel and toffee, balanced by citrus zest
- Warming spice – cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper
- Subtle charred oak and peat smoke, more noticeable on the mid-palate
Finish:
- Long and evolving, with lingering smoke and dried fruit sweetness
- A touch of salted caramel and roasted nuts
- Fading embers of peat, balanced with oak and spice
