Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a bold and intense Islay single malt whisky, named after the famous whirlpool off the coast of Scotland. This expression is known for its deep, powerful peat smoke and complex layers of spice, fruit, and maritime character.
Nose:
Powerful and aromatic, with waves of intense peat smoke, black pepper, and dark fruits. Notes of espresso, dark chocolate, seaweed, and cloves emerge, followed by hints of linseed oil and smoky meat.
Palate:
Big, bold, and mouth-coating. A surge of black pepper, chili spice, and tarry smoke leads into rich espresso, dark berries, and salted caramel. There’s a waxy, almost meaty texture with herbal and anise-like undertones.
Finish:
Long, smoky, and intense, with lingering spices, charred oak, and a touch of iodine and brine. The finish is drying but leaves behind a deep, smoky sweetness.
